SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS HEALTH CARE REFORM

On June 28, 2012, the United States Supreme Court announced its long-awaited ruling on the constitutionality of the individual mandate (the requirement that virtually all individuals purchase health insurance), which was at the heart of health care reform.  The Obama Administration had argued that the mandate was constitutional under the Commerce clause of the constitution, which grants Congress the power to regulate interstate commerce.
